Building well around Annique, not against it

A grounded, plugin-by-plugin look at what a consultant's own WooCommerce or WordPress site can realistically do today — chosen specifically to work well alongside what Annique already has, not in spite of it.

The one thing that shapes all of this

There's no live product feed to build against — and that's fine

Here's the honest starting point. The official Annique webstore is where real orders belong, and nothing found so far suggests a public product feed, CSV, or API exists for consultants to sync a WooCommerce store against directly. That's not a dead end — it just means the right architecture isn't "a live synced store." It's three much simpler, much sturdier layers: a catalogue to browse, a bridge to turn interest into a real order, and a relationship layer to keep customers coming back. Every recommendation below exists to do one of those three jobs — nothing here tries to fake a live integration that isn't there.
The core stack

Three layers, each solving one real job

Real, current, actively-maintained plugins — checked, not assumed.

1

Catalogue — browse, don't checkout

Products live in WooCommerce as normal, but the cart and checkout are switched off entirely — it reads as a proper online catalogue, not a store with a broken payment button.

★ YITH WooCommerce Catalog Mode

Turns any WooCommerce shop into a browse-only catalogue in two clicks — hides Add to Cart, prices if you want, and the whole checkout flow. Free version covers everything needed here.

YITH Request a Quote

From the same team, built to pair with Catalog Mode — replaces "Add to Cart" with a proper enquiry form instead of leaving customers with nowhere to go.

2

Bridge — turn interest into a real order

The moment a customer is ready to buy, hand it off to WhatsApp — where she probably wants to talk anyway — with everything she picked already filled in.

★ OneClick Chat to Order

Lets a customer build a normal WooCommerce cart, then sends the whole thing as one pre-filled WhatsApp message instead of going to checkout. Actively maintained for current WooCommerce.

Click to Chat

The simpler option if a full cart-to-WhatsApp handoff feels like more than's needed — just a clean floating WhatsApp button, shown only where you choose.

3

Relationship — the part most sites skip

Skincare runs out on a schedule. A welcome sequence for new customers and a gentle nudge when a favourite's due for reorder, running entirely inside WordPress — no monthly SaaS bill creeping up as the list grows.

★ FluentCRM

Self-hosted CRM and email automation built for WordPress — a welcome or reorder-reminder sequence can genuinely be running in an afternoon, not a week.

More depth for later — fully open-source, with a more powerful automation builder once the basics outgrow a simple welcome sequence.

How it actually flows

From browsing to a real, human order

She browses

A clean catalogue, no dead checkout button

Sends via WhatsApp

Her picks arrive pre-filled, one tap

Real order, placed by her

Through her own official Annique account

CRM remembers

Follows up when it's time to reorder

Worth adding, if it fits

Bigger pieces, for when the core stack is already working

Not needed to start — genuinely useful once there's real traffic to justify them.

GeoDirectory

A proper local business-directory engine — the real backbone behind a "find a consultant near me" map, rather than a static list.

Free coreFamiliar territory

WCFM Marketplace

A real, mature multi-vendor plugin — the natural engine behind a shared "George Rooibos Market" page, if several consultants ever wanted one storefront with individual stalls.

Free coreFor a shared pilot

LearnPress

A lightweight course builder — a short, structured "getting started" mini-course for new consultants, sitting alongside Annique Academy rather than replacing it.

Free coreConsultant onboarding

A booking plugin

For consultants offering one-on-one skin consultations or demo slots — a real appointment calendar instead of back-and-forth messages to find a time.

In short

The right shape, not a workaround

Nothing above assumes access this doesn't have, or fights the fact that a live product sync doesn't exist. It's the same three jobs — show it, ask for it, remember her — done with plugins that are real, current, and already trusted by thousands of other WooCommerce stores.
